Another Milestone Achieved in Global Learning!

The Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, School of Health Sciences (SHS), UMT, proudly marks another remarkable success with the Fully Funded Hybrid Summer Courses 2025, organized in collaboration with SSPH and Lugano Summer School (Switzerland) from August 18 to August 23, 2025. Such international collaborations not only broaden academic horizons but also empower our students to lead with confidence, innovation, and purpose in their professional journeys. Here’s to celebrating another step forward in nurturing globally competent nutrition professionals and strengthening UMT’s legacy of excellence in education!

Successful organization of the Lugano Summer School (Switzerland) in collaboration with SSPH and the Lugano Summer School.

This incredible opportunity, hosted by the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, SHS, UMT, provided a fully funded, one-week summer course from August 19 to August 24, 2024, for 14 selected participants of our BS Nutrition Science program. During this enriching experience, our students delved into advanced nutritional sciences, global health perspectives, and employable skills that will empower them for future success.

Project Presentation at Punjab Innovation and Technology Expo (PINTECH).

Three outstanding projects from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, School of Health Sciences, University of Management and Technology (UMT) have been selected for the prestigious Punjab Innovation and Technology Expo (PINTECH) 2025, organized by PHEC!

UMT participated in an Innovation competition "UOL Olympiad.

Department of Nutrition & Dietetics - School of Health Sciences - UMT participated in an Innovation competition "UOL Olympiad - Your Idea Your Nutrition" at University of Lahore & WON FIRST PRIZE (Shield & Cash prize) in this category Students prepared & presented an innovative product "Super Bread, fortified with minerals & Vitamins" specially prepared for Patients of Micronutrient Deficiency Disorders.

Successful Completion of the Nutrition Awareness & Food Testing Camp!

Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, School of Health Sciences (SHS), UMT successfully organized a “Nutrition Awareness & Food Testing Camp” in collaboration with the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on 31st October 2024, in celebration of World Food Day.

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the School of Health Sciences (SHS), UMT hosted an insightful seminar titled “Malnutrition – Past, Present, and Future Challenges” in collaboration with SIGNS International to celebrate World Food Day 2024.

MS Nutrition Science students secured 2nd position in Inter-University Poster Competition

A proud Moment for Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, School of Health Sciences, UMT MS Nutrition Science students secured 2nd position in Inter-University Poster Competition at Riphah International University, Lahore, on 22nd Jan, 2026. Awarded Rs. 10,000 pkr for research on the topic “Antioxidant rich eggplant tea: A novel approach to harness bioactive potential of vegetable waste for human use” .
