BS Aesthetics and Skin Care Technology:
Aesthetics and Skin Care Technology is to educate and train students to become skilled and compassionate technologist who can contribute to the well-being of individuals and communities through the provision of high-quality care as skilled Aesthetic and Skin Care Technologist under supervision of Dermatologist in performing Aesthetic, skin Care and Beauty procedures in Clinics and Dermatology wards in Hospitals. They can independently work in Cosmetics Industry.
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum 45% Marks in Intermediate / A-Level or equivalent (Pre-Medical) and no 3rd division in Matriculation + Minimum 45% marks in admission Test.

Mission:
The mission of the BS Aesthetics and Skin Care Technology program is to prepare competent, knowledgeable, and ethically grounded professionals who are skilled in non-medical cosmetic procedures, skincare assessment, and cosmetic product formulation. The program aims to blend scientific understanding with technical expertise to deliver safe, evidence-based aesthetic services while promoting skin health, wellness, and beauty. Graduates will be equipped to support dermatologists, contribute to the cosmetic industry, and provide client-centered care in clinical, wellness, and entrepreneurial settings.

Cognitive Domain (Knowledge Integration and Application)
PEO 1: Apply comprehensive knowledge of skin anatomy, dermatological science, and cosmetic technology to perform evidence-based aesthetic, beauty, and skincare services.
Cognitive & Psychomotor Domain (Cosmetic Product Formulation)
PEO 2: Formulate, develop, and evaluate safe and effective cosmetic and personal care products using scientific principles, quality standards, and emerging technologies.
Psychomotor & Affective Domain (Clinical and Procedural Support)
PEO 3: Assist dermatologists and aesthetic physicians in clinical, outpatient, and hospital settings by performing patient assessments and supporting procedures.

Cognitive Domain – Knowledge-Based Learning
PLO 1: Dermatological and Aesthetic Knowledge
Describe the structure and functions of the skin, and identify common dermatological disorders relevant to aesthetic and cosmetic practices.
PLO 2: Principles of Cosmetic Science
Explain the fundamentals of cosmetic chemistry, including the properties, roles, and interactions of ingredients used in skincare and beauty products.
PLO 3: Evidence-Based Practice
Evaluate the effectiveness and safety of various skincare procedures and cosmetic treatments using scientific literature and clinical standards.
PLO 4: Cosmetic Product Planning and Design
Apply theoretical knowledge to design and plan cosmetic formulations customized for different skin types, conditions, and aesthetic goals.
Psychomotor Domain – Skills-Based Learning
PLO 5: Performance of Non-Medical Procedures
Perform a variety of non-invasive aesthetic procedures such as facials, peels, dermabrasion, body wraps, and hair removal.
PLO 6: Dermatological Client Assessment
Conduct comprehensive skin assessments, including subjective history-taking and objective evaluation of skin conditions.
PLO 7: Clinical Support in Dermatology Settings
Assist dermatologists in aesthetic and minor dermatologic procedures within clinics and hospital wards, following safety and procedural protocols.
PLO 8: Cosmetic Formulation and Preparation
Formulate, compound, and evaluate a range of cosmetic and personal care products (e.g., creams, serums, scrubs, lotions, cleansers), ensuring quality, safety, and suitability.
PLO 9: Equipment and Device Handling
Operate, maintain, and ensure the safe use of aesthetic devices and cosmetic production tools, including galvanic machines, LED therapy devices, and mixers.
Affective Domain – Attitudes and Professionalism
PLO 10: Ethical and Client-Centered Practice
Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and respect for client confidentiality and cultural diversity in clinical and aesthetic care environments.

Work collaboratively with dermatologists, aestheticians, cosmetic chemists, and healthcare providers to deliver integrated care.
