Career Opportunities:
- Graduates of the anesthesia technologists can work in a variety of settings, including private hospitals, even they get hired in different emergency medical services like 1122 in Pakistan.
- They can pursue their careers as anesthesia assistants or technologists in any kind of setup which includes emergency and operation theaters in it.
- They can pursue research opportunities in the field of anesthesia as it is a very vast field and it has so many aspects and branches to be researched on. They can contribute to advancements in pre op and post op care by conducting research studies on patient care by directly treating them and taking firsthand experience, developing new treatment modalities, and exploring innovative technologies to improve patients’ health before, during and after surgery with the help of professors of anesthesia and majority of CPSP approved supervisors.
- Graduates can choose to pursue academic careers and become faculty members in universities and medical colleges. They can teach and mentor future anesthesia aspirants, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in research and scholarly activities.
- They can work in any department they like; this is the beauty of anesthesia technologists; they can work from operation theaters to ICUS of cardiac departments or gynae departments or surgical and medical departments. They can also work in pediatric NICU and PICU.
